Svetsku javnost potresla je vest o padu putničkog aviona kompanije “American Airlines”, koji se srušio u reku Potomak.

Do nesreće je došlo kada su se sudarili avion, u kom su bile 64 osobe, i vojni helikopter, a tačne informacija o svim poginulima još uvek nema.

Prema preliminarnim informacijama, među putnicima se nalazila grupa talentovanih umetničkih klizača, od kojih su mnogi deca ruskih emigranata.

Ruski mediji saopštili su da su među putnicima bili Jevgenija Šiškova i Vadim Naumov, ruski klizači, koji su 1994. godine osvojili zlatnu medalju na Svetskom prvenstvu u parovima.

„Na žalost, tužne vesti su potvrđene. Tamo su i naši sugrađani. Loše vesti danas iz Vašingtona. Izražavamo saučešće porodicama i prijateljima poginulih u nesreći“ rekao je Dmitrij Peskov, portparol Kremlja.

Sumnjalo se da je Maksim Naumov, sin pomenutih svetskih šampiona, takođe bio na tragičnog letu, ali izgleda da to nije tačno.
